When opportunity knocked for Dondi and Michael Schutt, the Columbus, Michigan couple answered.

After Michael’s long-time employer decided to close his landscaping business, the couple took a leap of faith and started their own — MDS Landscape Maintenance.

With more than 20 years of experience, Michael had the skills to succeed, but the Schutts needed funding to start. A small business loan from Michigan Women Forward provided the tools to turn their dream into reality.
