Empowering Entrepreneurs with Knowledge

Michigan Women Forward, in partnership with KanopiSocial, The Southwest Detroit Business Association, and with support from The Kresge Foundation, is proud to celebrate the achievements of an inspiring group of women entrepreneurs in Southwest Detroit!

Over six months, these dedicated business owners gained essential skills in digital marketing, website development, and online branding — tools they’ll use to grow their businesses and expand their reach. Along the way, they built a powerful network of peers to support one another as they navigate their entrepreneurial journeys.

To ensure their success, each graduate received a laptop and six months of ongoing technical assistance, bridging the digital divide and empowering these women to thrive in today’s business landscape.

This program embodies Michigan Women Forward’s mission: breaking barriers and creating opportunities for women entrepreneurs to succeed. Together, we’re building stronger businesses and stronger communities.
