Cynthia J. Pasky
An entrepreneur, business owner, and Detroit community leader, Cynthia Pasky grew her information technology & business services company, Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), from one office and a few employees when it was founded in 1990 to an international corporation. S3 is celebrating 20 years of service this year and employs more than 1,800 people. Most recently Pasky opened the new S3 Development Center in downtown Detroit, which kept jobs in Detroit that would have been sent abroad.
As a business leader, Pasky has worked to improve Detroit communities and the economic environment of Michigan. Pasky co-chairs the urban strategies committee of Business Leaders for Michigan (formerly Detroit Renaissance) and serves on their board of directors and executive committee. Pasky is a past chair of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and serves as a member emeritus of the Chamber board. Pasky is a board member for the Detroit Medical Center. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Downtown Partnership, Business Leaders for Michigan, Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan, United Way of Southeastern Michigan, U.S. Baltic Foundation, Foreign Investment Advisory and Supervision Council in Lithuania, DMC, Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, Detroit Youth Foundation and the Detroit Institute of Arts. She is a board member of Your Child, a nonprofit, nonpartisan coalition of business, education and family organizations dedicated to improving Michigan’s attitude toward education, and serves on the Visitor’s Board for the Kresge Eye Institute.
Among her top honors, Pasky was named CEO of the Year by Automation Alley, one of Detroit’s Most Influential Women by Crain’s Detroit Business and her company has received numerous awards.
