Laura Corp is a Senior Manager at the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC), where she oversees data strategy, program operations, and grant compliance across several city and federally funded small business initiatives. In her role, she manages the distribution and tracking of millions of dollars in funding that support Detroit entrepreneurs, while building systems that ensure programs operate effectively, remain compliant, and deliver measurable impact.
Laura’s work centers data to tell the stories behind small business programs and guide decision-making. She leads reporting and performance measurement efforts that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership, funders, and City stakeholders, helping shape how programs are refined, funded, and scaled over time.
She began her career at Humble Design, where she led operational work supporting families transitioning out of homelessness. That experience shaped her commitment to building practical systems that expand access to opportunity. Today, Laura focuses designing and executing stronger economic development programs to better support Detroit’s small business community.
