Operations Engineer for Olympia Entertainment
Emily is an operating engineer and a data analyst with a unique blend of hands-on mechanical expertise and advanced data analysis skills. She is an Operating Engineer at Little Caesars Arena, one of Detroit’s premier sports and entertainment venues. Her role involves operating and maintaining critical building systems, including refrigeration, industrial ammonia systems, HVAC, boilers, pump systems, and more, to ensure the arena stays safe, efficient, and ready for every event.
Before joining Little Caesars Arena, she spent several years in data analysis and clinical research at the University of Michigan. As a Research Area Specialist and Senior Database Administrator, she managed data for more than 300 clinical trials, built dashboards, created reports, and provided insights that helped leadership make more intelligent decisions in research and finance for oncology clinical trials.
Earlier in her career, she worked as a Lead Stationary Engineer and Building Engineer at multiple Detroit Public Schools facilities, where she maintained high-pressure boilers, hydronic steam systems, and chillers. She managed everything from daily maintenance to emergency repairs, staff training, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
