Dr. Kimle Nailer, Program Manager, Ignite Detroit Contractors Program
In addition to her role as program manager for the Ignite Detroit Contractors Program, Dr. Kimle Nailer is the president and owner of Nail-Rite Construction Company, providing residential services in Detroit. Nailer is a licensed builder and expanded her construction company into commercial contracting in 2017 to capitalize on Detroit’s Downtown Revitalization. Iconic projects include partnerships with Turner Brooks on the Little Caesar’s Arena and with The Brinker Team to build the Piston’s Training Center. She holds a business degree from Wayne State University.

Taryn Sulkes, Founder/CEO, Eagle Specialties, LLC
Taryn Sulkes is the Founder & CEO of Eagle Specialties, LLC, a Detroit-based commercial construction specialties provider. A proud member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, she grew up in the construction industry and launched her own company in 2014. Widely recognized for her leadership, Taryn earned awards from NAWIC Detroit, the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, NAWBO Greater Detroit, and Corp Magazine. She’s also served on multiple boards and believes deeply in lifting others as she’s climbed, often mentoring fellow small business owners.

Vinessa Palermo, Owner/CEO, LaSalle Construction Services
Vinessa Palermo became CEO and owner of LaSalle Construction Services in 2022, leading the WBENC-certified woman-owned industrial and commercial construction company with vision and innovation. In just three and a half years, her human-centric leadership has doubled the company’s revenue and profitability while prioritizing employee well-being. Beyond the business, Vinessa is deeply committed to philanthropy, actively supporting charities and serving as Secretary for the Oakland Foster Closet, where she works closely with volunteers and families. Under her leadership, LaSalle is poised for continued growth and lasting impact.

Edward Carrington, Flux City Development
Edward Carrington, known as the “Mayor” of Flux City, LLC, has over a decade of experience in Detroit property development. He has successfully completed multiple real estate projects that have advanced the city’s revitalization, including The Ribbon, an $8.2 million mixed-use redevelopment in East English Village. At Flux City, Edward oversees all aspects of business operations, ensuring each project strengthens neighborhoods and delivers high-quality, thoughtfully designed buildings that meet community needs.
