Andrea is an independent contractor who works as the Accountant for Michigan Women Forward. As the owner of AD Accounting, Auditing and Compliance Firm since 2018, she specializes in delivering precise accounting, internal auditing, and compliance services tailored to the needs of various organizations. Her responsibilities encompass overseeing daily accounting functions, payroll, general ledger management, and ensuring robust internal control processes. My commitment to accuracy and compliance has been instrumental in supporting my clients’ financial health.

In addition to her accounting expertise, she is also the creative force behind Andrea’s Creations, an event planning and decorating business she started in 1993. With over three decades of experience, she coordinates and designs unforgettable events, from weddings to corporate gatherings, while managing budgets and inventory to ensure every detail aligns with my clients’ visions. She says their is something special about watching the room transform.

Previously, she served as the Supervisor of Grants and Contract Management at the Detroit Area Agency on Aging, where she was responsible for monitoring contract compliance and performing audits to support funding initiatives aimed at assisting the elderly and disabled community. Her earlier roles, including Contract Manager and Director of Finance, have equipped her with a well-rounded perspective on financial management, compliance, and community service.

She has volunteered for numerous projects aimed at addressing homelessness and mentoring youth.  She loves hosting events with family, who love to make everything a competition. They once had a competition for who could cast a fishing rod the furthest.
