Julie Hegedus is the Vice President of Product Management for Oncourse Home Solutions.  She has been in the utility business for 21 years and recently joined the Oncourse Home Solutions in April of 2024. Previously, she held several leadership positions at Consumers Energy including the Executive Director of Gas Distribution and Executive Director of Gas Construction and Transmission Operations. She was named the first Female to these positions in May of 2017 and January of 2019, respectively. She was also the Director of Regulatory Compliance responsible for all the Gas Code Compliance work for all of Gas Operations, and worked as Director of System Integrity with responsibility for leading the implementation of the transmission and distribution integrity management programs.

Julie co-led the Women’s Engineering Network at Consumers Energy in 2013-2015 and was the Advisor from 2020-2024. The Women’s Engineering Network is dedicated to creating a network of women in engineering, but more inclusively those in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math or STEM. Julie is highly passionate about the professional development of young engineers & mentors several.

In 2021, Julie was the recipient of the Energetic Women Maverick Award. The purpose of the Maverick Award is to give special recognition to leaders who have set the standard in promoting, connecting, and strengthening female leaders in energy operations and engineering. 

Julie earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemical engineering from Wayne State University with a concentration in Alternative Energy.
