Carolyn Cassin
President & CEO
Carolyn Cassin has been the President & CEO of Michigan Women Forward since 2008. She serves as an officer on Michigan Women Forward’s board. Under her leadership, the organization became a CDFI microloan lender to help foster small business opportunities and improve Michigan communities.
Over her career, Carolyn has started and grown two companies, and helped transform and turn around three more. Her professional successes include turning around a failing hospice organization in Southeast Michigan and building it into the nation’s largest and one of the best run hospices in the country.
Carolyn and a group of 30 Michigan women founded BELLE Michigan. The state’s first female venture fund was created to invest in women-owned companies and other underserved communities in the United States.
When Carolyn isn’t busy making Michigan better for women leaders and entrepreneurs, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. If you see her around town, offer her a Diet Pepsi and you’ll have a friend for life.
