Turn your business into one that’s ready for growth and capital. The Capital Readiness Lab is a six-week cohort designed to help Flint entrepreneurs strengthen their business, understand their finances, and prepare for funding. Graduates who successfully complete the program will have first priority for an MWF Innovation in Lending loan, which includes either zero-percent financing or last-year forgiveness.

What You’ll Learn
Over six weeks, you’ll gain practical skills to help your business become both loan-ready and growth-ready, including:
- Building a stronger business plan
- Understanding financial statements
- Creating realistic financial projections
- Improving financial management habits
- Preparing loan application documents
- Understanding what lenders look for when making funding decisions
Graduate with Funding
Unlike many business training programs, the Capital Readiness Lab doesn’t end with a certificate.
Participants who successfully complete the cohort will be prepared to apply for an MWF Innovation in Lending loan designed to help entrepreneurs access affordable capital and invest in the next stage of their business.
Depending on eligibility, graduates may qualify for one of two loan options:
- Zero Percent Financing Loan – Affordable financing with 0% interest.
- Last Mile Forgiveness Loan – A loan that rewards on-time payments by forgiving a portion of the balance at the end of the loan term.
This means you’ll leave the program not only with the knowledge to grow but with the capital to help make it happen.
