Chair of the Managing Directors at Miller Canfield
Danielle Mason Anderson is Chair of the Managing Directors at Miller Canfield, an international law firm proudly headquartered in Michigan for more than 170 years.
A key member of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, Danielle represents clients in all aspects of pre- and post-judgment remedies, including receiverships, collateral sales, debt sales, and restructures. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation and creditors’ rights, with deep experience in loan enforcement, insolvency, bankruptcy, and receiverships.
Danielle brings that same focus and dedication to the Kalamazoo community, where she has taken on leadership roles with a wide range of civic organizations. She currently serves on the boards of Southwest Michigan First, the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home Foundation, and is the incoming chair of the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Board of Directors.
A strong advocate for advancing women in leadership, Danielle has served as a panelist for the Southwest Michigan First Women Business Leaders forum, where she joined prominent regional executives to address gender equity in leadership, equal pay, and peer mentorship.
She also leads within the legal profession, guided by her belief that leadership is best demonstrated through service. As the former—and longtime—District F Commissioner for the State Bar of Michigan, she represented lawyers across Southwest Michigan, from Battle Creek to the lakeshore, and Grand Rapids to the state line, ensuring their voices are heard in state-wide decision-making. She previously chaired the State Bar’s Young Lawyers Section and served on the Executive Council of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association.
Danielle’s professional excellence and community leadership have earned her recognition across the state, including honors from Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a Leader in the Law, Crain’s Grand Rapids Business as one of its Notable Women in Law, and Grand Rapids Business Journal’s “Business Leaders Under 40.” She has also been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights.
