De’Twah Luxury Eyewear: Seeing Opportunity Clearly

After more than 20 years in luxury optical, Candice Thomas and Rachel Irimescu decided it was time to build something of their own. Over dinner, they mapped out a plan — and soon launched De’Twah Luxury Eyewear in Oak Park.

More than an eyewear shop, De’Twah offers personalized styling and precision lenses that help clients see clearly and feel confident. Candice and Rachel believe luxury should be accessible, working across budgets to help clients find frames that truly fit their lives.

Like many new business owners, they faced rising inventory costs and tight seasons. With support from Michigan Women Forward, they strengthened inventory, bridged critical gaps, and kept sales moving forward.
